An Injured CRPF personnel being brought to Guwahati Medical College Hospital for treatment as 5 CRPF personnel were killed and 41 others were seriously injured when militants triggered an IED blast at Dhalukbudi in Goalpara district of Assam on Friday, 30 July 2010. According to reports, CRPF personnel were patrolling the area when some unidentified militants set off the explosion at around 8 am. Although there is no official confirmation in this regard, it is believed that United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) could be behind the blast. ULFA’s Publicity wing’s member Anu Buragohain claims the responsibility of the blast.
