The centre for policy analysis, a group comprising India’s lawmakers, filmmakers, journalists and academics say New Delhi must start a dialogue with the people demanding Independence from India. They sought immediate halt to the repression and threw their weight behind the separatist leaders demand that some basic confidence building measures must be initiated immediately. The group led by Ram Vilas Paswan of the Lok Jana Shakti Party visited Kashmir for three days and announced setting up of an informal group of lawmakers to act as catalyst for peace and conflict resolution in Srinagar on Sunday, 05 December 2010.
