A young woman participating in the protest sit in of the families of disappeared persons demanding that the government release the whereabouts of their kin.The Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP) hold such silent sit ins on 10th of every month demanding that the government make the whereabouts of the disappeared public. Independent estimates put the number of people who have disappeared in the last two decades in Kashmir at 8000.
