Repair work in progress after a water pipeline running alongside an overhead bridge falls on moving local train near Thane disrupting the total Central Railway services in Mumbai on Friday, 23 October 2009. Two persons, including the motorman, died and several others were injured. The incident happened between Thane and Mulund on the Central Railway’s mainline connecting Mumbai CST to Kalyan. The mishap took place when a part of the under-construction Kopri water pipeline bridge fell on a Kalyan-bound train at around 1030 hours.
