One of the accuse in bilkis bano case is being taken by the police to Arthur Road Jail after sentencing life imprisonment by a Session court in Mumbai on Monday, 21 January 2008. Eleven persons were sentenced to life imprisonment by a session court for their involvement in the Bilkis Bano gangrape-cum-murder case which took place during the communal violence in Gujarat in 2002. Twelft convict in the case, Somabhai Gori, a police official has been sentenced to three years" rigorous imprisonment.
