Governor of Maharashtra S C Jamir at the 125th anniversary celebrations of the Jewish community’s Keneseth Eliyahoo Synagogue in Mumbai on Sunday,15 March 2009. Consul General of Israel in Mumbai, Consuls of Britain, France, Canada and a large number of members of the Jewish community were present at the historic Synagogue located in the Fort area. Mr Jamir released a special postage stamp on the Synagogue on this occasion. Chairman of the Synagogue Trust Solomon Sopher (extreme right) is also seen in the picture.
