Commonwealth Games delegation inspects the Thyagaraja indoor stadium in New Delhi on Thursday, 08 October 2009. Commonwealth Games Federation Chief Michael Fennell inspected venues and facilities as concerns mount over the city"s troubled preparations. A leaked letter from the Games chief last month warned the Indian capital that delays and poor planning posed a "serious risk" to one of the world"s biggest sporting events. One year remains until the Indian capital hosts the four-yearly games, featuring 71 teams from Commonwealth countries, to share concerns over the slow progress of preparations.
