Commuters at newly inaugurated 2111/2112 Mumbai-Amravati Express as Central Railway increases the frequency from thrice a week to daily in Mumbai on Thursday,24 December 2009. Central Railway flags off 2167/2168 A Dadar-Varanasi Superfast Express and 2267/2268 A Mumbai Central- Ahmadabad Duranto express; extends the route of 2143/214 Nagpur-Gaya Dikshabhumi Express to Dhanbad on one side and Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus, Kolhapur, on the other side and increases the frequency of 2149/2150 Pune-Patna Express from four times a week to daily.
