Security personnel keep vigil at the Latasil Playground where the 62nd Independence Day will be celebrated in Guwahati on Friday, 14 August 2009. Security is being beefed up after ULFA, NDFB, Kamatapur Liberation Organization (KLO), Manipur People"s Liberation Front (MPLF) and Tripura People"s Democratic Front (TPDF) on Monday, August 10, 2009 gave a call to boycott Independence Day celebrations and asked people to observe a general strike on August 15, the five banned outfits called an 18-hour general strike in the North-East starting from August 14 midnight.
