Personnel of Indian army patrolling during the 12 hour Assam Bandh called by United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) in protest against arrest of foreign Secretary Sashadhar Choudhury and self-styled Finance Secretary Chitraban Hazarika, the banned organization has also demanded for unconditional release of both the top leaders in Guwahati on Monday,09 November 2009. ULFA Foreign secretary Sashadhar Choudhury and Finance Secretary Chitraban Hazarika who had surrendered at Gokulnagar along the Indo-Bangla border at Tripura on November 6th.
