One of the Royal Family Member of Kolkata performs the ritualistic "Nabapatrika Snan" - bathing a banana tree - in the Ganges River in Kolkata on Thursday, 14 October 2010. The four day long festival of Durga Puja, which began on 14 October this year, will culminate with the immersion of the clay idol of the Hindu Goddess Durga, which symbolises the power and the triumph of good over evil in Hindu mythology.
