Mohammad Pervez Soda rests on a bed at a civic hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday, 18 June 2008. Soda"s health weakened while on a hunger strike, protesting against procedural delays which have prevented him to travel back to Pakistan. Till December last year, Soda served eight years in jail, convicted under MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) for issuing fake currency in 1999. He is currently detained at a local Saki Naka police station, where he was first arrested.
