The Indian government declined to disclose details of tax evaders who have parked funds abroad saying such disclosures could derail international pacts on information sharing. The government, rocked by a series of scandals, said it does not have an authentic figure on funds stashed into foreign banks by tax offenders but quoting other estimates added the amount could be up to 1.4 trillion dollars.
