Visitors go through various currencies of the country since 1932 to 2005 which were put up at an exhibition by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) at its premises in Guwahati, on Tuesday, 01 June 2010. The exhibition showcased the journey of Indian currency notes from pre-independence period up to the last changes that were made in 2005—displaying the cultural, political and historical legacy of the country attached to these currency notes. The exhibition aims to create public awareness about these efforts and showcase the history about current notes and their evolution during last 75 years.
