Farmers under the banner of Bharti Kissan Union (Ekta), Punjab shout slogns against UPA government during the protest at Parliament Street in New Delhi on Friday,21 September 2007. They are demanding that price of paddy be fixed at Rs.1100 per quintal, Rs. 3600 to 4000 for cotton and Rs. 130 per quintal for sugarcane, also immediate stoppage of import of wheat ar Rs.1600 for cotton per quintal in turn and to be fix the support price of Wheat at Rs. 1500 per quintal for Indian farmers.
