DHD surrender ceremony i

Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, Niranjan Hojai, Commander-in-Chief of Dima Halim Daoga (DHD-J) and other senior officials having a look of the arms laid down by DHD cadres during a surrender ceremony at Haflong, in North Cachar Hill district of Assam state in Guwahati on Friday, 02 October 2009. All total 360 cadres of the DHD (J) outfit laid down their arms before the government and given 100 days time to fulfill their demands. The arms surrendered included 76 AK series assault rifles, 23 M16 rifles, three G-Series rifles, nine 7.62 rifles, one RPG, eight US carbines, five mortars, eighteen pistols and huge amount of ammunitions.
