Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi inaugurating the welcome gate-cum-foot over bridge, A Project of Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority under Guwahati Development Department connecting Tarun Ram Phookun Park and Shankardev Uddyan at Bharalumukh in Guwahati on Friday, 04 September 2009.Planning and Development Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sharma also present in the occasion. There are three landings at level 2.1 meter, 4.8-meter and 7.2 meter covered with decorated japis. From these three different landing levels, people can enjoy the beauty of the surrounding areas, particularly the riverside. There is also a central view point in the middle of the over bridge covered with a 4.8-metre diameter sarai with a gamocha.
