Activists from "Save Yamuna" sit in protest in New Delhi on Thursday, 14 April 2011.After completing a "Food March" from Allahabad to the Indian capital a distance of some 700kms held to highlight the need to protect and preserve the River Yamuna. The activists commenced their 45 day "Pada Yatra"(Food March) on March 2, in the city of the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, demanding the immediate implementation of High Court orders to prevent the river, one of India"s largest from being further polluted.
