Red necked Falcon: - This is Raptor, means a hunter bird like eagle etc, this is smaller than crow, but hunt the birds of double of its size, the male and female both hunt together, one chase the game and other attack very fast. These are birds of arid zones, found in Gujarat, Rajasthan and in drier parts of Maharashtra.

Chinkara or Indian Gazelle: - These animals are in the family of antelopes, the have inter orbital glands near the face and they rub it on plants and bushes, do scent marking for their territory in the breeding season, this animal is lives in dessert and dry arid zones and live without water for days, which is a prime key of survival of this animal. The Tibetan gazelle is cousin of chinkara found in Ladakh to Tibet.

Demoiselle Cranes: - These birds are migratory, they come to India from Central Asia, the stay here from September to March. They come in thousands, some time flocks of more than ten thousand or so, while crossing the Himalayas, these bird were killed by Golden eagle.

Blackbuck Portrait: - Black are not deer they are antelopes, means the animal don’t shed their stags and they have it for lifetime. These animals are shy doesn’t give close approach, I had managed to get this portrait shot in Rajasthan.

Chestnut bellied Nuthatch: - This bird is smaller than size of house sparrow, very difficult to photograph, the unique behavior of this bird is, it can go backwards on the tree, moves in any direction. This shot was taken in Saat Tal in Uttranchal.

Tuskers in Corbett: - The best place for seeing the Elephants in Corbett is called Chuar in Dhikala Area, The Chaur is grassland which is burn by forest guards in early February, as Corbett National park gets pre monsoon showers in end of April or early May, with this new fresh grass grows, which taste good to elephants and gives green background for photography, as elephants are grey and black in colour or some time muddy, so the green give good colour contrast to photographs.

Lion Cub: - The Asiatic lions are endangered species, the only home for these lions is Gir national park in Gujarat. Their population is around 300 in the wild. Seeing a lion cub is a matter of joy, when the threaten species population increasing. Here the cub was very curious and came straight to me, I can see the curiosity in his eyes.

Panoramic view of Western Ghats: - The western ghats are important mountains, these are the rainmakers.These ghats are the home of so many species of plants, flowers, insects and reptiles, birds and mammals. After monsoon these ghats looks very beautiful like wearing a green coat.

Eurasian Eagle Owl: - Owls are much maligned birds. Their nocturnal habits and vaguely human expression have led to superstitious tales of ghost, and unfounded fears that these quite night predators spell misfortune to human beings. The owls are more often heard than seen, in dark and lonely places –has the only served to deepen the mysteries woven around them. This owl is a largest of all owls in India.

Nilgiri Tahr: - Nilgiri tahr the mountain Goat is distributed from the Nilgiris to the Anaimalais and, the Western Ghats at the elevation between 1220 and 2000 meters. It is close relative of the Himalayan Tahr lives above 3050 to 3660 meters in cold climates nature has covered its body with long hairs, The Nilgiri tahr is living in different climate condition has short hair.

Malabar giant squirrel: - This is the largest squirrel of India, there population is very high in Malabar region, the another cousin of this species is found in Bhimashankar in Maharashtra, these squirrels are interesting to watch, they made six seven nest on the trees and rest in one of the nest and keep on changing every day, the reason of safety from predators, this squirrel does not sit up while eating unlike other squirrel, it eats in horizontal position.

Houbara bustard: - The Houbara size is 60cm while standing, they occurs from Canary islands of Spain to north Africa and middle east to Central eastern and southern Asia, it breeds in Baluchistan and winter visitor to Pakistan, Rajasthan and Gujarat’s sandy semi deserts.They roost in open places ad bare areas, when disturbed they try to hide their head and becomes camouflage with ground. Houbaras are omnivorous, but largely feed on vegetarian, taking tender shoots of wheat and various berries, also ants beetle, grasshoppers and locust, lizards and small snakes.

Asian Elephant family: - The Elephants have emotions like human being, they remain in the herd and protect their calf’s very carefully, if any sign of tiger, they make trumpets and within no time whole herd of Elephant come together. The herd is lead by old female Elephant.

Rhesus macaque mother and young: - Primates are interesting subject to shoot, particularly their eyes have emotion, but one don’t see them eye to eye, otherwise the feel challenge and attract you, but seeing through the camera is different, here I can see the how young is attached with mother, sucking the milk and eyes shows the life in it.

Guar or Indian Bison: - The Guar are the largest wild cattle in the world. An adult male is the symbol of muscular strength, standing nearly six feet at the shoulder, their heads majestically crowned with sturdy, sweeping horns, full grown male weight up to 900 Kg. The name Indian Bison often used for Guars, but they are nearly wild cattle relatives of Yak and the Indonesian banteng, rather than the Bison of North America.

Montagus Harrier: - The word Harrier is derived from the old English hergian-to harass by hostile attacks.There are 16 species of harriers in all over the world, and 6 species found in India, Eurasian Marsh harrier, Montagus harrier and Pallid harrier, Eastern marsh harrier, Hen Harrier and pied harrier. Eurasian Marsh Harrier, Pallid and Montagus harriers are widely distributed in India, and the eastern marsh harrier and Hen harrier are commonly seen towards north and eastern parts of our country up to Assam. The pied Harrier is the only species breed in Assam.

Dhole or Asiatic wild dog: - The Dhole is a wild dog, these animal are live in packs of 20 or so. They do hunting with a planning, some dogs chase the animal and when the animal get tired attack by other dogs and killed. There are records that even tiger also avoid these predators.

Eurasian White Stork: - These birds are winter visitor to through out Indian union, they migrate from Europe.A young stork was ringed in Germany and found in Bikaner about 6400km distant. They feed on frogs, lizards and large insects. Which helps the farmers as they do the job of pest controls.

Siberian cranes: - The Bharatpur bird sanctuary is famous for these Siberian cranes, the Siberian cranes use to come in month of November and remain here up to March. There population declined very sharply as this last pair photographed in December 2002, after that no bird had come to Bharatpur bird sanctuary.

Rosy Pelicans in the mist: - The Rosy Pelicans are fish eaters, each bird eats more than 5kg of fish per day, there was drought in Rajasthan and only water and fish was available in the Bharatpur bird sanctuary, so there were more 3000 pelicans gather here, it was a historic event.

White belied Sea Eagle: - The bird is found in coastal areas, There are more than 80 nest are recorded in Konkan area alone, right from Ali Baug to Goa. The main food of this bird is a fish and poisonous sea snakes, when the snakes come to the edge of water for breathing, the eagle’s sharp eye locate it from distance and catches it.

Stream in Ladakh: - The Ladakh is cold desert, it is covered with snow for almost 8 months and 4 months of summer is the time when snow melts and this is a time of festival of people and the animal world also celebrate it in they way of breeding and multiplying their population, flowers also bloom this short span of time, when the snow melts, this type of streams forms.

Lion tailed Macaques: - The lion tailed Macaques are endangered species, there population is less than 3000 in the wild. These are the animals of rain forest and always live in the canopy, they hardly come on ground. There population is declining due to hunting and habitat loss.

Northern Pintails: - These birds are migratory, in winter they can be seen through out the Indian union. These birds migrate from central Asia and northern Europe. Painted storks: - The Indian subcontinent contains six breeding pairs of Storks and is surpassed only by Africa, which have eight breeding species. Red Panda: - These animals are endangered species. Red Pandas live in the temperate forest of the Himalayas above 5000fts. The animal spends its day sleeping in trees. It rests curled up in the topmost branches, with its bushy tail wrapped its head or it make itself like a ball. In the evening it descends to the ground to hunt for food, climbing back to its roost in the morning.
